Introduction

At The Praying Manus Canine Spa, we believe in the powerful connection between healing touch and the canine spirit. With over two decades of experience in animal care, behavior, and wellness, Certified Canine Massage Therapist Brandilyn Logan provides more than just massage—she offers a safe, intentional space for dogs to relax, recover, and reconnect.
Our name reflects the heart of what we do:
“Praying Manus” honors the gentle meeting of hand and paw—the anatomical and the emotional—through grounded, therapeutic care rooted in knowledge and compassion.
Whether you're supporting your senior dog’s mobility, easing anxiety in a recent rescue, or simply investing in your companion’s long-term health, we’re here to walk alongside you with empathy, expertise, and care.

My Journey

My professional path in animal care began in 2002, when I earned a diploma in Animal Science and began formal studies in canine behavior and training. From the very start, my focus has always been on supporting both the physical and emotional well-being of the animals in my care. Over the years, this path has led me through a wide range of experiences that deepened my understanding of stress, trauma, and healing in animals.
In 2009, I became certified in Rabies Vector Species Handling and successfully completed the Ministry of Natural Resources Wildlife Rehabilitator exam. Shortly after, I joined Aspen Valley Wildlife Sanctuary, where I worked hands-on with injured and orphaned Ontario wildlife. It was here that I learned the importance of patience, trust, and gentle handling—skills that continue to shape the way I care for dogs today.
When I relocated to Brant County in 2012, I joined the Windrush Veterinary Clinic in Burford as a veterinary assistant, supporting the health and recovery of both companion animals and wildlife. My journey then took me into Animal Control and Bylaw Enforcement with the City of Cambridge, where I gained a broader perspective on animal welfare in the community. Following this, I dedicated six years to the Cambridge & District Humane Society, working closely with countless dogs in need of medical care, rehabilitation, and rehoming.
Beyond professional roles, my commitment to rescue has always remained a central part of my life. I have been a long-term foster for Sato Saved Dog Rescue and continue to proudly serve on the vetting team for Niagara Dog Rescue, ensuring dogs receive the medical attention and safe placements they deserve.
Today, I bring together all of these experiences—over 20 years of animal science, behavior, and care—into my work as a Certified Canine Massage Therapist, trained through the Royal Canadian College of Massage Therapy. My mission is to help dogs live more comfortable, balanced lives by combining therapeutic touch with a deep understanding of behavior, physiology, and trust-building.
